canoe ride on the big island.this was taken on the big island of hawaii on alli drive...when we lived on the island there was so many different beautiful sunsets from the yellow glow in this picture to orange,blue and even red. about two years ago a couple more vents opened up on the volcano and caused a alot of smoke called vog to cover the island ,because of this vog the sunsets were not easy to see and not as vivid.. the island has the vog almost everyday unless the tradewinds come in and then the winds blow the vog out and again you can see the beautiful sunsets again.................we still visit the island even though we dont live there anymore...our favorite white sandy beaches on the big island were mauna kea and hapuna beach..beautiful white sandy beaches with blue green water, we would go to the beach every monday and stay all day. Down town kona is awesome ,beautiful place to walk along the ocean and get your feet wet or visit the many shops and resturants along alli drive...

I live in Las Vegas Nevada with my husband and I have been taking photos for about 25 years..We moved here florida a few years ago we also lived in Kona on the big island for several years,love the beaches, sunsets and trying to capture all of this on camera.
